Breathe in peace and compassion…

I offered my guided imagery meditation “Breathe in Peace” as a free download on the Self-Improvement Gifts Giveaway that Dr. Joe Rubino is running, and got some interesting feedback on it.

In the meditation I say, “…This is your time, now, to take care of yourself, to be gentle with yourself, to give yourself patience and compassion, to give yourself the peace and safety that lies deep within your heart…”  A woman wrote to me that she found herself in tears listening to that – trying to remember that last time that she put aside all her responsibilities and taking care of everyone around her and took time to be gentle and patient and compassionate with herself.

We are so hard on ourselves. Most of us find it so much easier to show patience and compassion to others than to our own sweet selves. We have this sense of urgency, of pushing and pushing to get everything done, and then maybe we can take a break and relax.

I invite you to take some time today to take care of yourself, to be gentle with yourself, to give yourself patience and compassion, to give yourself the peace and safety that lies deep within your heart…

You can get your free download by going to the Self-Improvement Gifts Giveaway which runs through January 2011 (just say ‘no thanks’ to any product offers and go straight to the General Downloads, and look for my gifts which are usually somewhere in the first 10 pages.)

NOTE: The giveaway has officially ended, though you can still grab some downloads. If you’d like a copy of Breathe in Peace, drop me a line and I’ll send you the mp3.

Yours in Peace,

Carol

  • Carol – Loved your “Breathe in Peace” meditation, which I downloaded from Self Improvement Gifts. Thank you for such a beautiful recording.

  • Carol,
This is a sweet story and a reminder to all who read it. What wonders would take place in the world if everyone made this shift inside? I don’t think we can be reminded enough. Thank you for sharing this woman’s feedback and for making your recordings.

    Peace and ease,
    Jana

Thank you for the free gift! I think that being kind to self is the number one path to inner contentment.

Thanks for your kind comments. What wonders indeed, would take place in the world! While we may not always get the kindness we want or deserve from others, we always have the ability to give it to ourselves. So why is it so hard?
